We are on a mission to empower small businesses to flourish regardless of the economic times and to give the owners the tools and support necessary to run a successful company. My Admin Department, a business unit of Business Concepts, Inc. (BCI), was created to solve a very specific problem for a very special group of people.
Business Concepts, Inc. is a professional services firm that provides expert advising, consulting and executive coaching services in the areas of operations, systems, management. We specialize in increasing the profitability of small businesses and associations, and are committed to enabling them to succeed by recommending and implementing proven best practices in these critical areas. We are different than other firms because we have specific business-ownership expertise and share insights from the experience of having started and run multiple companies. We’ve been helping service based businesses since 2002.
So, where does My Admin Department fit in?
As our client base grew, we focused on small businesses. Consistently, we saw a re-occuring need in all of our service-based companies. We were shocked! It wasn’t just ’some of the time’… it was ‘100%’ of the time. The need kept showing up and had the same bad effect, over and over. What was the need? Each small business owner was spread too thin! Owners had too much on his/her plate, no one to delegate the menial work, no one who could do an ‘exellent job’ without supervision, and he/she couldn’t afford to hire a full or part-time administrative assistant to help out.
All of our clients were very good at what they did for their customers, but almost all of them got to the point where their success and required follow up and paperwork ended up trapping them. So, instead of trying to convince these leaders to do just one more thing and hire, train and manage an administrative assistant, we started asking, “Would it help if our admin department did some of the paperwork for you this month?” Guess what? Over and over again, the owners would say, “Yes!” Soon, it became a saying, “Can My Admin Department help you out?”
Eventually, Business Concepts’ Admin Department was doing so much work for our coaching and advising clients that we had to hire another full-time Admin. Overnight, a new business unit was born! We are proud to offer My Admin Department as a support service for the small business owner!
My Admin Department was created to give solve the small business owners’ and board members’ challenge of too much to do with too little time and/or too little money, and provide the off-site, managed support team necessary to run a successful company or nonprofit!
Today, Business Concepts and My Admin Department help a diverse base of clients.
